The Golden Age [VINYL]Opis:2013 double vinyl LP pressing. Yoann Lemoine-otherwise known as Woodkid-may have worked with the likes of Katy Perry, Taylor Swift and lana Del Rey, but his own music, even as it is couched in dramatic backdrops, is still imperfect, unpolished. His focus is primarily on the sounds around him: The slowly building strings and bass, the eventual suite-like symphonies. There's a lot of range in this maxmimalist approach-there are songs that sound more classical, such as "Stabat Mater" or "I Love You"; there are songs that sound like they'd make a good spaghetti Western soundtrack ("Run Boy Run"). This album effectively proves that Lemoine is as good at making music as he is at music videos. Interscope.
